FUNERAL OF MRS.
MARTHA LANE
IS HELD TODAY

Mrs. Martha J. Lane died at the home of her son, Roy, at Clear Lake, Iowa Wednesday morning, January 7. The body was brought to Grinnell and funeral services were held this afternoon at two o'clock at the home of her son, Arthur, 922 West street. Rev. W.J. Stewart, pastor of the United Presbyterian church had charge of the service.

Martha Jane Chesser was born April 19th, 1860 in Scott Co., Iowa, and died Jan. 7, 1931 at Clear Lake, Ia. She was married in 1875 to Samuel Wisecarver. Five children were born to this union, two sons surviving, Will Wisecarver of Williams, Oregon, and Arthur Wisecarver Lane of Grinnell. In 1887 she was married to Chas. Lane who died 3 years ago. To this union was born one son, Roy Lane of Clear Lake, Iowa. She lived in Grinnell over 40 years.
