Her funeral service was conducted Monday, Oct. 23, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grinnell, with Father Andy Kelly officiating and assisted by Deacons Steve Witt and Bill Olsen. Burial followed at the Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

Pat, the daughter of G. Richard and Joan Conrad Outlaw was born on March 31, 1945, in Floral Park, N.Y. She received a degree in pediatric nursing from the N.Y. Foundling Hospital, N.Y., N.Y., in 1965. Pat married Kenneth C. Raynor on Oct. 19, 1968, at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Floral Park, N.Y. She worked as a newborn nursery nurse at The Long Island Jewish Hospital, New Hyde Park, N.Y., before starting her family. After relocating to Montezuma from Rockville, Md., she worked for Bates Flowers in Grinnell and as the health director for the Montezuma Community School.

Pat was very involved in the Montezuma community. She was an active member of the Montezuma Volunteer Fire Department, the Montezuma Literary Club and was instrumental in bringing CPR classes to the Montezuma Community Junior and Senior High Schools. On a broader level, Pat belonged to the Poweshiek County E.M.S. Association, IMESA and was a puppy trainer for Canine Companions for Independence. Pat was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic community of Montezuma. In her free time she enjoyed crafting, reading and spending time with her family.

Pat will always be fondly remembered by her family: mother Joan Outlaw, Montezuma; son Chris (and Sharon) Raynor of Ellsworth AFB, S.D. and children James, Richard and Katherine; daughter JoAnn (and Brad) Grace of New London, Iowa and their daughters Meaghan, Holly, Emily and Makenna; daughter Theresa (and Tim) Hooper and sons Camron and Josh, serving with the Air Force in Germany; sister Elizabeth (and Michael) Woodworth and children Thomas, Ann, Mary, Alex, Vickie, Arthur, Michael Jr. and Katie of Newfields, N.H.; grand-niece Tatiana Woodworth; special family aunt, Adda Doig, of Montezuma, and legions of other family and friends.
