SERVICES SATURDAY
FOR MISS MARION

Edna Mae Marion, 85, of 507 4th Ave., passed away at a Grinnell hospital Thursday, Oct. 10, following an illness of the past three weeks.

The daughter of General R. and Leona Du Vall Marion, she was born on Nov. 18, 1882, at Sedan, Kan. For the past 40 years she had made her home in Grinnell and for many years she operated the grocery store on west First Avenue. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church.

Survivors include a nephew, John Marion of Keokuk, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Marion, also of Keokuk and formerly of Des Moines.

Miss Marion was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Horace Bliss, in November 1858 and her brother, John Marion in June of this year.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon L. Smith, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in the Colfax cemetery, Colfax, Iowa.

Organist was Mrs. Leonard Pearce and pallbearers were Paul Elliott, Paul Worcester, Don Turner, Shirley Sisco, Marvin Cooper and Kenneth Shook Sr.
