MILDRED RILEY

Mildred Genevieve "Millie" Riley, 72, of 90 Fourth Ave., Grinnell, died Saturday, March 8, at Friendship Manor following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, Washington, Iowa, with the Rev. Edward Philgreen officiating. Burial was in New Haven Cemetery, Washington.

The daughter of J.G. and Pearl Wolfe Augustine, she was born March 24, 1924, in Washington. She attended Jefferson High School in Fairfield.

She was married to Willard Riley Dec. 15, 1949, in Keosauqua.

Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper at St. Francis Manor, retiring in 1989.

She is survived by two sons, Melvin of Lenexa, Kan., and Austin of Ocean City, Calif.; one daughter, Dixie Zarger of Grinnell; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; four brothers and two sisters.
