MRS. PALMER
MEMORIAL SETJeanette Lowrey Palmer, 78, of No. 6 Spring St. Circle, Grinnell, died Monday at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
A memorial service for Mrs. Palmer is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Cedar Falls.
Mrs. Palmer, who moved to Grinnell in 1974 from her home in Cedar Falls, was born in Victor and raised in Grinnell. She received an A.B. degree in zoology from Grinnell College, and before her marriage, she worked for several years as a teacher and as a lab technician at the former Grinnell Community Hospital. After her marriage she lived in Cedar Falls where her husband was a member of the industrial arts faculty at Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa).
She was a member of the Episcopal Church, A.A.U.W., the Cedar Falls Women's Club, P.E.O., and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and a son, Gilbert.
Survivors include two sons, H. Philip of Grinnell and Douglas L. of Manchester; three sisters, Lois Corwin and Sarah Lowrey of Grinnell and Margaret Welsh of Leesburg, Va.; and six grandchildren.
