MARGRET WELSH DIES AT 87

Margaret Lowrey Welsh, 87, formerly of Grinnell, died Friday, Aug. 22, at Cathedral Village in Philadelphia, Pa.

A memorial service will be held later this fall. Memorials may be sent to the Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, or Hospice Grinnell.

A graduate of Antioch College, she was an administrator in the offices of Senator Simeon D. Fess of Ohio and Representatives John Rockefeller of New York, John Gwinne of Iowa and Karl LeCompte of Iowa.

Until four years ago, she lived in Sterling, Va. She lived in Grinnell and attended Grinnell College prior to her marriage to the late Harvey A. Welsh.

Mrs. Welsh is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Dole of Wynnewood, Pa.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
