MRS. ARTHUR ROUSE
RITES HELD THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur C. Rouse were conducted Thursday afternoon, April 21, by the Rev. Howard Hayes at the Steffy Funeral Home.

Interment was in Masonic-IOOF Cemetery, Montezuma, with Fred Grandstaff, Gene Grandstaff, Forrest Morrow, Robert Morrow, William Hinegardner and Leonard Prusha serving as casket bearers.

Della, daughter of William and Mary Wymore Grandstaff, was born in Unionville, Mo., on Oct. 18, 1889, and passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Grinnell, Tuesday, April 19. She was 76.

In her youth she attended school in Missouri until her family moved to New Sharon where she graduated from high school. For a time she clerked in the Jones Department Store in Kansas City, Mo.

On Sept. 17, 1912, she married Arthur C. Rouse. They lived in Kansas City where Mr. Rouse was employed by the Ford Motor Company. After the death of her husband in 1938 she lived in Newton and Wichita, Kans., until about ten years ago when she moved to Grinnell.

Mrs. Rouse is survived by three brothers, Harley Grandstaff of Wichita; Earl Grandstaff of Chico, Calif.; Ed Grandstaff of Newton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
