SERVICES SET

Glenn Andes, 66, of 802 High St., died Wednesday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital.

The son of Samuel and Sarah Christner Andes, he was born Feb. 11, 1906, at Carstairs, Alberta, Canada. He moved with his parents to Brooklyn, Iowa, at the age of three months and received his education in the rural schools of that community.

On Nov. 21, 1936, he was married to Twyla Irene Schafer at Grinnell. He worked at the Norris Garage for 17 years, and for the last seven years he had worked at Durr's Standard service station, where he had a stroke early Wednesday morning.

He is survived by his wife, Twyla Irene; one sistrer, Mrs. Tom Smith of Ladora; one brother, Orin Andes of Grinnell; and five nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Andes will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leland Mann officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the ceremonial unit of the American Legion.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
