SERVICES HELD

Lilly Majerus, 72, of West Des Moines died of cancer Saturday, March 21, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 24, at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines.

The daughter of George and Emma Schafer, she was born and raised in the Malcom vicinity. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1925.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Majerus; four sisters, Ellen Strawser and Twyla Andes, both of Grinnell, Irene Rhoads of Knoxville and Ella Florer of Clear Lake; one brother, Glenn Schafer of Grinnell; and seven step-children.
