INA COOPER RILEY IS DEAD

From a South Bend, Ind., exchange we learn that the death of Mrs. T.E. Riley was caused by heart trouble.

Mrs. Riley was born in Grinnell and attended the grade and high schools here. She was a cheerful, attractive girl with an almost omni-present smile, ever-ready to help.

When in her teens she entered the employ of the Herald as a type-setter, and here she met her husband Thomas E. Riley, foreman of the Herald bindery to whom she was married in 1892.

She was a worthy woman and her loss is a distinct loss to family and friends. The South Bend paper says:

"Mrs. Ina Leota Riley, age 56, of 1015 East Dubail avenue, died in the residence at 11:30 o'clock this morning following a two days' illness of heart trouble. She was born in Grinnell, Ia., May 19, 1872, and had lived in South Bend for the last nine years, coming here from Great Falls, Mont.

On June 29, 1892, she was married in Grinnell to Thomas E. Riley, who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Jennie L. Cooper, of Grinnell; three children, Mrs. Brace H. Sibley, of Toledo, O., and Harold W. and Edward A. Riley, of South Bend; one brother, Clarence N. Cooper, of Grinnell, and five sisters, Mrs. Stephen Smith, Mrs. C.M. Pilgrim and Mrs. Crayton Holcomb, of Grinnell, Mrs. Thomas H. Vinall, of Kellogg, Ia., and Mrs. Walter R. Root, of Erie, Mich."
