Mrs. John L. Reams died at her residence here on Tuesday, March 13, 1900, aged 79 years. The funeral was held at the M.E. church, on Thursday, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. D. Phillips, and the remains interred in Kent's cemetery. *Eloner Read Reams was born in Clearfield county, Pennsylvania, in 1821, was married to John L. Reams in 1849, and came to Madison township in 1865. It was but last Thanksgiving that she, with her aged husband, celebrated their golden wedding. She was loved, honored and esteemed by all who knew her, and the husband, five sons and one daughter, and fourteen grandchildren mourn her departure.
