Obituary dated April 17, 1917

MRS. HENRIETTA KILGORE

Henrietta E. Sunderland was born in Bureau county, Ill., March 5, 1849, and died April 14, 1917, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 9 days. She was married Oct. 5, 1865, in Hennepin, Ill., to Mr. Kilgore, and to this union were born two children: Eddie and Katie I. The husband and baby Eddie have preceded her to the home above. She and her husband joined the church early in their married life. She has always lived a true, conscientious Christian life. She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter and family in Grinnell and a brother, A.W. Sunderland of Watonga, Okla.

Funeral sermon was preached at the home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. A.C. Stowe, assisted by Rev. W.B. Wilson.

The pallbearers were A.E. Easter, H.H. Sage, Harper Barnes, J.A. Kingsland, S.L. McGregor, and August Schroeder, all of them members of the Church of Christ.
