FORMER GRINNELLIAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Word has been received here of the death of Margaret Christian Bump, 82, a former Grinnell resident, who died in Burlingame, Calif., recently following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Bump was the daughter of George M. Christian, a U.S. marshal and prominent early Grinnell resident.

She attended Grinnell schools and was a 1907 graduate of Grinnell College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sumner Bump.

She is survived by two daughters and one son.

Burial was in Burlingame.
