HOLD BROOKER MEMORIAL HERE

Memorial services for Hazel P. Brooker will be held Saturday morning, April 7, at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Christ-Congregational. The Rev. Philip J. Ramstad, pastor of the church will officiate.

Norman Goodbrod will be organist.

Hazel Brooker, a long-time resident of Grinnell, died Feb. 6 at the age of 86, in Radnor, Pa.

The daughter of George and Margaret Perley, she was born in Des Moines on Dec. 21, 1892. The family moved to Indianola when she was still young. She graduated from Simpson College in 1915.

After graduation she taught in Adel until her marriage in August, 1918, to Dr. Ralph E. Brooker. The next year, the couple moved to Grinnell, where Dr. Brooker practiced medicine until his death in 1963.

She remained in Grinnell until 1972, when she moved to Radnor to make her

She was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational for 59 years. She was also a member of the counry club, Monday Club, Levart Club and the P.E.O.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. H.R. (Janet) Woodworth of Radnor, Pa., her son, James E. Brooker of Green Bay, Wis.; two granddaughters, Barbara Brooker of Des Moines and Susan Woodworth of Radnor; and two grandsons, Steven Brooker of California and Mark Woodworth of Radnor.
