PACIA ANN PROVIN SAUER

Pacia Ann Provin Sauer, 55, of Bettendorf, formerly of Guernsey, died Nov. 4 in her home after an extended illness. Services were Nov. 7 at Ashbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf. Burial was at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; a daughter, Teresa Brockhage-Nochols of Bettendorf; two sons, Randall Brockhage and Brett Brockhage, both of Bettendorf; her mother, Mabel Provin of Bettendorf; and a sister, Carmen Jean Bisinger of Walker.

Also surviving are two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tara Lynn; and her father, Carmi Provin.

The former Pacia Ann Provin was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Guernsey, the daughter of Carmi and Mabel Wetherell Provin. She married Edward G. Sauer Nov. 22, 1992, in Waterloo.

She was board secretary and assistant to the chancellor of the Eastern Iowa Commuunity College District, where she had been employed for 25 years. She was a graduate of Bettendorf High School, where she was active in the band. She also was a former member of the Bettendorf Symphony and in her earlier years was active in the Bettendorf Community Theater. Her hobbies and interests included writing poetry, campng and music.
