TUESDAY FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR MRS. ANTON VANOUS

Mrs. Blanche Vanous, 56, of Grinnell, died late Friday evening at a local hospital. She had been in failing health the last five years.

She was the wife of Anton Vanous and they made their home at 117 Hamilton Ave.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. L.V. Kuebrich, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic church, officiating. Organ music will be provided by Mrs. L.W. Brock.

Serving as pallbearers will be Orin Andes, Glenn Andes, Reuel Elliott, Carl Paxson, Al Renaud and Wiley Taylor. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

The daughter of Frank and Anna Krzen Novak, she was born at Amana and attended schools there.

On Nov. 18th, 1924, she was united in marriage with Anton Vanous at Marengo. To this union was born a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Emma) Stewart of Grinnell.

Mr. and Mrs. Vanous lived at Amana until 1932 when they moved to Grinnell.

She is survived by her husband, Anton; her daughter; three grandchildren; and her father, Frank Novak of Marengo. Also surviving are three brothers, Joe Novak of Amana, Frank Novak of Marengo, and Wes Novak of Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Vanous was preceded in death by ger mother in 1952, and one brother, who died in infancy.
