RITES SATURDAY FOR MRS. MINNIE DECKER

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Decker, 94, were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the McAninch funeral home in Victor with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus, pastor of the Brooklyn Presbyterian church, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Margaret Lyman.

Interment was in Kent cemetery with Henry Manatt, Lloyd Gorsch, Eugene Manatt, Gene Gritsch, Virgil Blomme and Ralph Smith serving as pallbearers.

Minnie Masker, daughter of Wilson and Lydia Masker, was born July 18, 1868, at Elyria, Ohio. At the age of one she moved with her parents to Chelsea where she grew to womanhood. At the age of 16 she united with the Church of Christ and had been an active member for many years. Her most enjoyment was reading the Bible which she had read through three times.

On Jan. 1, 1889, she was married to Ira Decker at Chelsea. Eight children were born to the couple. Most of her life was spent in Iowa with the exception of a few years in South Dakota.

Following the death of her husband in 1910, she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Golda Walker, for several years. For the past ten years she had lived in Grinnell with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mitchell where her death occurred April 11.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Golda Walker of Brooklyn ; six sons, Earl of Rapid City, S.D., Ollie and William of Los Angeles, Calif., James and Milo of the state of Washington and Elza of Pinedale, Wyo.; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Beall of Belle Plaine; 23 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Frost; five grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
