FLORENCE HYDE SERVICES SET

Florence P. Hyde, 95, of the Mayflower Home Care Center, formerly of 1228 Main St., died Wednesday morning at the Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home with burial in Hazelwood Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 21, 1889, on a farm west of Gilman to George and Lydia Roberts Parmenter. The family later came to Grinnell where she graduated from Grinnell High School. On Sept. 1, 1915, she was married to Howard F. Hyde at her family home. They farmed in the old Maple Grove neighborhod until 1957 when they moved to Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 10, 1977; by two sisters, Rosella Worcester and Josephine Johnson; and one brother, Marcus Parmenter. There are no immediate survivors.
