SARAH ANN JUDSON GREGSON STULL

Sarah Ann Judson Gregson, daughter of Amos and Mary E. Harris Gregson, pioneer residents of Poweshiek County, was born September 20, 1862, and passed away Nov. 14, 1956 at Grinnell, Iowa, past 94 years of age. She lived for nearly a century in the county. She was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her brother, Rev. E.W. Gregson, a sister Stella Myers, and an infant brother and sister.

She grew to womanhood in the Ewart community and on October 12, she was united in marriage to W.H. Stull, of Denver, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Stull established their home on the Gregson farm near Ewart, and after several years they moved to Montezuma where he was in business for several years. The family moved to Grinnell in later life, and following the death of Mr. Stull in 1942, Sarah Gregson Stull made her home with her sister-in-law, Mrs. E.W. Gregson.

Mrs. Sarah Stull was baptized in the Christian faith in early life and later became a member of the church in Montezuma, Iowa. She was a devoted christian, a good neighbor and a faithful home maker all her long life. The last three years she has been confined to her room and bed yet always interested in life about her.

She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Hugh Gilliland and family of Grinnell, seven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, three nieces, four nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Nov. 17, 1956 at Smith's funeral home in Grinnell. The Rev. C.E. Kingsley officiated. Burial was at Montezuma.

Pallbearers were William Bitcon, Robert Halterman, Amos Myers, Cecil Myers, Ray Myers and Jack Pasch. Music was providsed by Mrs. Rhee Auman.
