AN OBITUARY OF MRS. EARL DEE

Sheridan, Ia., Sept 25, Special:

Hazel Alice Coe Dee, daughter of Alice and will Coe, was born Mar. 26, 1890, in Columbia township, and passed away Sept. 19, 1931, at the Grinnell hospital.

She was united in marriage to Earl Dee June 8, 1910, and has since resided in Sheridan on the home place. Hazel is survived by her husband, a daughter, Annabelle Russell of Birmingham, a son, Warrren, at home, and her mother and father. Ward, the oldest son, passed away Sept. 12, 1920, and an infant son, Neil, passed away with his mother at the hospital. She is also mourned by aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Hazel joined the Sheridan M.E. church in 1908, and has been a faithful member until her death. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and was always interested and helpful in the work of the community and church.

She was a loving daughter, wife and mother and no sacrifice was too great for her to make for her family or neighobr, and all who knew her loved her for her happy ways and loving smile. She will be missed in the family circle and by many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Sheridan M.E. church Monday afternoon. The sermon was delivered by Rev. O.E. McBride of Victor, an old Sheridan pastor and a friend of the family.

Pall bearers were David Anthony, Omer Milburn, Earl Graham, Henry Stahl Jr., Leslie McDowell and Henry Groff. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ray Anthony, Mrs. Leslie McDowell, Henry Schultz and J.F. Shope. Mrs. Ed Stimson, pianist.
