Obituary dated Nov. 4, 1904

--The funeral of Mrs. Margaret C. Gay was held at Bethel church Wednesday, the services being conducted by Rev. Mr. James of Lynnville. Margaret Collett was born in Whilkshire, England, August 29, 1832, and came to America in 1855. She was married to Henry Gay in May, 1856, and died October 30, 1904, aged 72 years, 2 months and 1 day. She was the mother of six children, five of whom have passed away. She leaves to mourn their loss an aged husband and one daughter, Mrs. Robt. Ashby, and four grandchildren; also three sisters, two in England, and Mrs. Martha Rudman of Lyons, Iowa, who was at her bed side. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robt. Ashby, where she was taken two months ago on account of poor health. She had been a great sufferer for two years but was very patient often saying her sufferings were notheing compared with what our Savior suffered.
