OBITUARY

Mary Jeffrey was born in Bally Copeland, Ireland, Dec.10, 1858, and departed this life Aug. 27, 1904. She came to America at an early age and most of her life has been passed in the community in which she died. In 1882 she united with the United Presbyterian church of Ewart and has ever since been a consistent member. In 1885 she was united in marriage with James Boyd, who died in the year 1892. In 1895, she married William Ried and he, together with a son, two daughters, two brothers, and three sisters, are left to mourn her loss.

During the last months of Mrs. Ried's life, her suffering was intense, yet she bore it all patiently to the end.

The funeral services were held in the Ewart United Presbyterian church and were conducted by her former pastor, Rev. W.W. Woodburn, the large attendance testifying to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
