MRS. JOHN FORD OF SEARSBORO DIES

Searsboro, Ia., March 23. Special:

Mary Marshall was born in Alsace-Lorraine France, in 1861, and departed this life March 17, 1931. She came to this country with her mother and brother when a young girl, and her whole life has been spent in Grinnell and in and near Searsboro.

She was married to John Ford about 1888 or '89, and to this union was born one son, William, who lives in Arizona, and who was unable to be at his mother's funeral.

She has always lived a very quiet life. She has been a sufferer for a number of years, but this week before her death required constant attention and care, and on Tuesday was taken to St. Francis hospital where she passed away that night.

Her funeral was conducted by Father Hannon at the Catholic church here in Searsboro Saturday forenoon. Burial at the Catholic cemetery.

She was always loyal to her faith, and always attended Divine Services. Beside her son she is survived by 2 nieces of Des Moines and two nephews of Cedar Rapids.
