HAZEL BEASON FUNERAL RITES HELD TUESDAY
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at James Funeral Home at 2 o'clock for Hazel Beason, 56, who died Monday at Montezuma. The Rev. C.E. Kingsley officiated. Burial was in the West Liberty cemetery at Searsboro.
Hazel D. Beason, daughter of Fred M. and Olive Miller Beason, was born March 3, 1900 at Montezuma. After a life-long affliction she passed away at her home in Montezuma.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Beason of Grinnell and four nieces.
At an early age, Hazel moved with her family to the Lynnville and Searsboro vicinity where she lived for many years. Later she lived in Grinnell for a few years before returning to Montezuma where she lived for the last three years.
Pallbearers were Earl Beason, Harvey Marcum, Glenn Stewart, Frank Beason, Howard Jones, and Thomas Whitehead. Soloist was Mrs. Dolph Miller. Accompanist was Mrs. Willard Heffner.
