MRS. J.B. LARGE SUCCUMBS MAY 19 IN DENVER, COLO.

Bertha Anderson Large, 82, former Grinnell resident, died at a nursing home in Denver, Colo., on May 19th.

Private funeral services were held in Denver and interment was in the family plot at Maquoketa.

She was born in Maquoketa on Dec. 14th, 1877, and was married to Joseph B. Large of DeWitt. In later years they made their home in Grinnell where Mr. Large operated Large's Pharmacy (now Turner Drug). Mrs. Large moved to Denver from Grinnell only last year.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1948.

A graduate of Iowa State Teachers College, she was a lifelong member of P.E.O. and the Episcopal church.

Mrs. Large is survived by a son, David, and a grandson, David Brownlee Large.
