MRS. CHARLEY MITCHELL

Mrs. Charley Mitchell died at Bisbee, Ariz., March 16, 1918.

Adah May Sparks was born in Grinnell, March 20, 1887, and lived her childhood life in this place. Here she was united in marriage on December 16, 1904, to Charley M. Mitchell.

To this union were born four children, Dorothy Marie, aged 11 years; Orville Laverne, aged 6 years; and Donald Emery, aged 2 years, while one son, Charles Virgil Mitchell, preceded his mother to the Heavenly home seven years ago the 18th of February.

Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell lived in Grinnell until five years ago, when they moved to Iowa City to make their home. Mrs. Mitchell's health began to fail her and on December 24 they moved to Bisbee, Arizona, in the hope that the change might benefit her, but she did not seem to improve and on March 16, 1918, at half past twelve, she bade them all goodbye and passed peacefully away to be with her dear Savior.

Mrs. Mitchell leaves her husband and three children, her father, Barton Sparks; three brothers, James, Merle and Donald Sparks, and two sisters, Mrs. George Wisecarver and Mrs. Finley Blande, to mourn the loss of a loving wife, mother and sister; also a host of friends and relatives.

The body reached Grinnell on March 21 and was taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. George Wisecarver, on Harrison avenue, where the funeral services were held on Saturday, March 23, at the Friends church, conducted by Rev. J.M. Sopher. Music was furnished by the choir.
