ORA FUDGE RITES WEDNESDAY

Ora J. Fudge, 80, of Searsboro died Sunday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harden Funeral Home at New Sharon, with the Rev. Irene Weitert officiating. Burial was at the West Liberty Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the Searsboro Friends Cemetery.

The son of Thomas and Nellie VanGorp Fudge, he was born June 25, 1901, at Searsboro. He married Vera Irene Miller at Searsboro on Jan. 16, 1924.

Mr. Fudge owned and operated the Lynnville Elevator for several years.

He is survived by his children, Colleen Arthur of Lebanon, Mo., Betty Fudge of Newton, Nesha Mengersen of St. Louis, Mo., Donna Lobinger of Aurora, Colo., Donald Fudge of Columbia, Mo., and James Fudge of Key West, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; for great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Fudge of Des Moines; and a sister, Lucille Groenboom of New Sharon.
