ALICE KELCH, RESIDENT HERE 40 YEARS, DIES

Mrs. Alice Edith Kelch, resident of Grinnell for 40 years, died Sunday morning, Nov. 28, at her home here. She was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Congregational church with Rev. Leland Mann officiating.

Born at Downey in Cedar county, Iowa, Feb. 13, 1878, Mrs. Kelch was the daughter of Willis Crozer and Dora Cornwell. She was married Nov. 2, 1904 at Muscatine to Herbert F. Kelch. They had no children.

In recent years Mrs. Kelch had resided with the late Julia Wheeler, who died earlier this month. Prior to that she had resided with the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marvin.

Mrs. Kelch was a member of the Congregational church and was box secretary of the State Women's Fellowship and church librarian.

Her only survivor is a half-sister Mrs. Kathleen Hinshaw of Marshalltown.

Burial will be at Hazelwood cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
