LITTLEPAGE RITES TODAY
Marion H. Littlepage, 61, of 1433 Prince St., Grinnell, died Monday at Grinnell General Hospital. He had been in failing health the past few years.
Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today in Iola, Kan., with burial at the Highland Cemetery there. Friends may call the Smith Funeral Home here for additional information.
The son of Frederick and Lula Birkes Littlepage, he was born April 22, 1917, at Blackburn, Okla. He was graduated from Iola High School in Kansas and later served as a staff sergeant in the 209th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II.
On May 22, 1941, he was married to Mary Edith Lindsey in Humboldt, Kan. The couple had five children.
Mr. Littlepage came to Grinnell nine years ago and was retail manager for Hawkeye Propane and Grinnell Skelgas.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his children, Marion R. Littlepage of Warsaw, Ill., Charles F. Littlepage of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Tom (Peggy Jean) Nesheim of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Randy (Cynthia Lou) Hughey of Coffeyville, Kan., and Mrs. Ed (Debra Lea) Fenner of Grinnell; eight grandchildren; a step-brother, Clarence E. Goodner of Oxnard, Calif.; and a step-sister, Mrs. Bud (Lola) Tate of Iola, Kan. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his step-father, Elmer Goodner.
