Obituary dated March 31, 1922

MRS. HERBERT BRANNIAN

Evalena Tinker daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Tinker, was born Dec. 9th, 1888, at the old homestead northwest of Brooklyn, where her early days were spent. Her education was received in the rural school adjacent her home and later continued in the Brooklyn High School.

On July 14th, 1909, she was united in marriage with Herbert Brannian. From this time until her death which occurred March 22nd, 1922, she resided in Brooklyn.

A membership in the Christian church was retained until the churches dissolution after which her activites were transferred to the Presbyterian church. She filled positions with much credit and ability, in the Rebekah and Eastern Star lodges, the P.E.O. society, and the Columbian club.

The private funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.W.F. Holler, at her home in West Brooklyn, Friday afternoon at three o'clock.

She leaves her husband, two children, Willis Herbert and Evelyn Lucille, a father and mother, two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. F.C. Doty, L.E., H.E. Tinker and Mrs. Maunis Godbey.

A devoted wife and mother, a loyal and true friend and neighbor; her passing will be mourned by all.

Those from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Starrett, Chas. and Pearl, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Starrett, Mrs. Lester Hummel, Elmer and Myrtle Starrett of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. John Frances, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Messer of Victor; Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Binegar and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Frances of Grinnell.
