MRS. NAOMI JACK PASSED AWAY AT MARENGO HOSPITAL

Naomi M. Jack, daughter of Ross Grier and Clara McClain Grier, was born on August 26, 1903 near Deep River. She received her education in the Deep River schools.

On Nov. 29, 1922 she was united in marriage to George W. Jack. The marriage was performed in the same home where they had resided for the past 11 years. To this union four sons were born: Burdette, Melvin, Lowell of Victor, and Stan of Fayette.

Her entire married life was spent on farms in the Deep River, Guernsey, and Victor communities. After the death of her husband on March 28, she made her home in Victor.

After a brief illness Mrs. Jack passed away early Sunday evening, May 26, as a result of a heart attack, attaining the age of 64 years and nine months. At the time of her death she was a faithful member of the Deep River Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid. She was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Victor, (and) the Busy Bee Club of Deep River.

As a devoted mother and grandmother she leaves to mourn her passing, four sons, four daughters-in-law, Clara, Dora, Phyllis, and Nannette, and 17 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. at the McAninch Chapel and 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church at Deep River with Rev. Wayne A. Fisher and Rev. Eugene McClure officiating.

At Victor an organ solo, "In the Garden" was played by Bette Rieke and at Deep River two solos, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Beyond the Sunset," were played by Mrs. George Dale.

Flowers were cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Cordes, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Schwertfeger, Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Cranston and Mrs. Harry Pierce.

Casket bearers were Mervin, Terry, Randy and Denny Jack, Robert Seye and Dean Fontinel. Honorary casket bearers were Danny, Gary, Myron, Bruce and Lonnie Jack. Interment was in the IOOF cemetery at Victor.
