FOSTER JACOBS

Foster (Jake) Jacobs, 78, Rialto, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died there Saturday, March 14, of complications from a stroke.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. at Montecito Cemetery, Colton, Calif.

He was born in Grinnell Feb. 1, 1914, the son of Hulbert and Belle Jacobs. He was a 1934 graduate of Grinnell High School. He was married here in 1936 to Mildred (Millie) Decatur. He left Grinnell in 1951 and had resided in Rialto 41 years. He had been a member of the Grinnell Elks Lodge. He was a route salesman for Weber Bread Co.

Survivors include his wife Millie, Rialto; two sons Michael Jacobs, Redlands, Calif., and Stephen Jacobs, San Bernardino, Calif., and three grandchildren.
