MARION F. KILLIEN BURIED HERE THURSDAY

Marion F. Killien, 66 years of age, passed away suddenly Christmas eve of a heart attack.

Mr. Killien had lived in Iowa City for the past fifteen years, coming from Brooklyn, Ia., with his family, and had engaged in his work in Iowa City since that time. His sudden demise is a shock to his family and friends, as he apparently was in good health and has never seriously complained of illness of a serious nature, although he had suffered attacks of the heart prior to his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters and one son, Mrs. N.I. Alexander, Mrs. George Zinkula, Mrs. William Zinkula and Harlan Killien, all of Iowa City, and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Killien had lived at one time in Grinnell, and had relatives and friends here.

On Christmas eve he enjoyed the Christmas tree with its festivities with his children and started to return to his home, when evidently he suffered a heart attack, perhaps dying instantly, and was not found until the morning.

Funeral services were held in the Friends church conducted by Rev. Robert Lincoln. Dr. Curtis Green sang two comforting songs, "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer My God to Thee," accompanied by Mrs. Arthur McDowell.

Burial was in Hazelwood beside his wife, who was buried there about seven years ago. Pallbearers were William Doud, Pete Doud, Mahlon Doud, Clarence Doud, Merle Sparks and Mahlon Head.
