DORIS I. BUNN, 68

Doris I. Bunn, 68, of Montezuma, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehab Center in Montezuma.

A celebration of life memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Madison Township Cemetery northwest of Oskaloosa. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Western-Central Iowa and Watts Funeral Home of Montezuma are in charge of the arrangements.

Doris was born Oct. 14, 1937 at Oskaloosa to Earl and Mary Ferree Corbin. She worked as a cook, a waitress and a bookkeeper at various restaurants including Dickey's Prairie Home, Village Inn, Skell Diner and the Monte Tap. In 1988 she went to work for Sig Mfg. where she was employed for 16 years before retiring.

Doris is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Debbie Bunn of Sedalia, Mo.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Danny Curley of Laclede, Mo., Brenda and Dave Fisch of Montezuma, and Esther Earley of Tama; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her mother, Mary Corbin, of New Sharon and one brother and his wife, Don and Ruth Corbin, of Adrian, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Corbin; one brother, Clifford Corbin, and one infant grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a memorial fund be established for Grinnell Regional Hospice in honor of Doris. Memorial tributes or messages for the family may be left at www.iowacremation.com under obituaries.
