ALICE MOWREY

Alice Mowrey, 68, of the Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, formerly of Montezuma and Grinnell, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, while in the care of Iowa River Hospice.

Her body has been cremated and a service will be held at a later date. Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered at www.mitchellfh.com.

She was born Alice Tresa McDonald on Feb. 11, 1938, in Eldora, the daughter of Alva L. and Gladys H. McDonald. She was united in marriage with Harlan Lester Mowrey in Deep River and they resided in Brooklyn, Grinnell and New Sharon. She had lived in Montezuma until moving to the Villa del Sol in Marshalltown a week prior to her death.

She is survived by siblings and a caregriver Ken Shepard of Marshalltown. She was preceded in d death by her parents, her husband and one daughter Shirley Smith.
