MRS. HELEN H. ROUDABUSH

Mrs. Helen H. Roudabush, 83, of Brooklyn, died Monday evening, Sept. 16, 1988, in Grinnell General Hospital, Grinnell, following a short illness.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Roudabush was held t 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Celebrant was Rev. Robert Gralapp of Granville, Ia. The Sermon was given by Rev. Karl Holtkamp, pastor of St. Patrick's. The organist was Mrs. Francis Kriegel. Casket-Bearers were Duane Roudabush, John Vansice, Gordon Wold, Lyle Nesselroad, Darrell Heishman, and Jack Crosson. Interment was in the Brooklyn Cemetery.

A Rosary Service was held Wednesday evening in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home.

Helen Harriet Welch Loven Roudabush, daughter of Raymond Samuel Welch and Lillian Kathryn Curtis Welch, was born Sept. 15, 1905, in Chicago, Ill. She received her education in Chicago. She worked for CB & Q Railraod in the accounting office.

On September 18, 1926, she was united in marriage to Roy Joseph Loven in Downers Grove, Ill. He died March 9, 1931.

On December 26, 1931, she was united in marriage to Randolph Jacob Roudabush in Downers Grove, Ill. They made their home in Brooklyn. He died December 23, 1971.

Mrs. Roudabush was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, DAR-Grinnell Chapter, and Francis Gallagher American Legion Post #294 Auxiliary.

Mrs. Roudabush is survived by her son, Roy Loven and his wife, Lois, of Newton, Ia.; one daughter, Mary and her husband, Allan Gralapp of Sigourney; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Karvatt of Downers Grove, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two sons, William Raymond Loven and Randolph Jerome Roudabush; two sisters; and one brother.
