R.J. ROUDABUSH RITES CONDUCTED
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Randolph J. Roudabush, prominent retired Brooklyn businessman, who died Thursday at Grinnell General Hospital.
He had been hospitalized earlier in December and returned to the hospital last week suffering from a heart ailment.
The Rev. John Koning of Davenport, a former Brooklyn pastor, officiated at the services held at the United Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery.
Pallbearers included Maynard McLain, William Welsh, Edgar Buchenau, George Paul, Bert Gillette, and Delmar Heishman. Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Fowler, Floyd McAllister, Lyle Nesselroad, William Kriegel, Clarence Ecklund, Marvin Calderwood, Lynn Montgomery, Dr. Robert Carney and Harold Wiedow.
Mr. Roudabush was born Jan. 24, 1897, at Harrisonburg, Va, the son of Ira and Catherine (Ritchie) Roudabush.
He lived in the Brooklyn area most of his life and operated businesses in Brooklyn for over 40 years. He was married to Helen H. Loven Dec. 26, 1931. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
Mr. Roudabush is survived by his wife Helen; a sister, Mrs. Maymie Keller of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Gilbert of Lamont; a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Mary) Gralapp of West Liberty; a son, Roy of Newton; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and an infant son.
