FUNERAL WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. ROUDABUSH

Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Roudabush, 85, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at First Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus assisted by the Rev. E.W.F. Holler. Organist was Mrs. Ed Bartachek who also accompanied Mrs. Quinton Montgomery and Mrs. Fred Carlson singing, "The Old Rugged Cross."

Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery with Irvin Nervig, Harley Burch, Lyle Ormiston, Denver Miles, Robert Morgan and Ray Evans serving as pallbearers. In charge of flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard McLain and Mrs. Margaret Johnston.

Catherine Florence, daughter of James N. and Elizabeth Ritchie, was born near Harrisonburg, Va. Dec. 21, 1872, and died Nov. 9, 1958, at a nursing home at Oneida where she had lived the past three years.

On January 15, 1896, she was married to Ira A. Roudabush of Harrisonburg, Va. and five children were born to the couple. In 1902 the family moved to a farm near Brooklyn where they lived until 1923 at which time they moved to a farm near Manchester. They returned to Brooklyn in 1929. Mr. and Mrs. Roudabush observed their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 15, 1946. Mr. Roudabush died March 13, 1948.

At an early age Mrs. Roudabush joined the Presbyterian church at Green Mount, Va. and in 1903 transferred her membership to the Brooklyn church where she was active in church work until five years ago when she suffered a stroke.

She is survived by her five children: Randolph J. and John F. of Brooklyn, Mrs. Mayme Keller of Long Beach, Calif., Gilbert M. of Lamont and Mrs. Walter (Primrose) Gienapp of Manchester. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
