EVA DEE DRYDEN FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY
Miss Eva Lee Dryden, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Dryden, was born Jan. 1, 1873, near Montezuma, and died at Montezuma Mar. 11, at the age of 88 years, two months, and 10 days.
Her entire life was spent in Iowa where she was a great comfort to her aged parents, relatives and friends. She was a seamstress and made many garments for neighbors and friends until her eyesight failed.
Miss Dryden united with the Montezuma Methodist church in her youth and was a faithful attendant as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by a brother, Arthur; a niece, Louise Smothers Tindle; a nephew, Louis Smothers; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services, conducted by the Rev. George S. Snyder of the Montezuma Methodist church, were held from the Steffy Funeral Home, Monday, Mar. 13, at 2 p.m. Miss Alice Underwood presided at the organ and Mrs. Keith Stahl was soloist. Casketbearers wre Ernest McFerren, Howard Thompson, Sid Wheeler, Warren Smith, Ed Allely, and Emmett Lamond. Burial was in the Masonic-I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
