HAD LIVED ON SAME FARM FOR OVER 70 YEARS

Searsboro, Ia., March 2. Special:

Henry Shepherd, living two miles south of town, died Saturday afternoon, where he had spent his whole life. He was the son of Lucian and Matilda Shepherd, who were among the early settlers of this vicinity. He has lived on this same farm for more than 70 years. He was married to Katie Myers, who died during the flu epidemic in 1918. Funeral services were held from the house Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Paul Hadley. Burial was at Forest Home. He was the last of a family of four children.
