CARL MULLER

Carl Muller was born in Pomaravia, Prussia, on November 22, 1840, and at his death had reached the age of 76 years, 9 months and 12 days. He was married at Straussland, Germany, to Henrietta Youngman on June 17, 1863. They came to America on August 26, 1867, and settled at Brooklyn, Ia., where they resided until 1876, when they moved to Marshall county and settled near Gilman. In 1885 they moved to Grinnell, where the wife died in 1901. To this union were born ten children, three of whom preceded the father in death, leaving seven children living: Mrs. Minnie Stineman, and Mrs. H.S. Ellis of Gilman, A.C. Muller of Oskaloosa, F.C. Muller of Wright, Minn., R.C. Muller of Ottumwa, Mrs. Amanda Lewis of Denver, Col., and Mrs. Frank Psenicka of Grinnell at whose home he died.

Twenty-three grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive him.

Funeral services wre conducted from the home of Frank Psenicka by Rev. W.R. Lawrence. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
