MARY TAYLOR RITES SATURDAY

Mary M. Taylor, 75, of 203 Fourth Ave., Grinnell, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with Elders Harold Taylor of Milan, Mo., and C.D. Talbert of Blakesburg officiating. Music will be provided by Kathleen Heffner, organist, and C.D. Talbert, Clarence Van Sant and A.M. Rolfe, vocalists. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kellogg Museum Fund.

The daughter of John and Minnie Waldbusser, she was born on Jan. 8, 1911, near Grinnell. She attended school in the Rock Creek area and later graduated from Grinnell High School. She taught in rural schools.

On Aug. 16, 1933, she was married to Gilbert Taylor in Newton. The couple lived in Milan, Mo., until 1937 when they moved to the Kellogg area to farm. Mrs. Taylor was also employed in the dietary department at the former Community Hospital here.

She was a member of the Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, the Victor Grange and the Farm Bureau.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; two sons, John of Newton and Jim of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; one daughter, Janice Larkin of Omaha, Neb.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Fred Waldbusser.
