MRS. NELLIE KEISER DIES AT 78, FUNERAL HELD THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Thomasine Keiser, 78, of 609 Fifth avenue were held this (Monday) afternoon at Smith funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W.F. Overhulser of the Methodist church.

Organ selections at the funeral were played by Edward Bohstedt. Pallbearers were Basil Arment, Clark Brink, George Clifton, Ross Coutts, Fred Minear, and Arthur Robison. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Mrs. Keister, a lifelong resident of Grinnell, died Thursday morning at a local hospital after an illness of several years. She was the widow of Arch Keiser who died Sept. 5, 1949.

Daughter of Adah VanClief and Thomas Stafford, Nellie Thomasine Keister was born in Grinnell June 2, 1875. On Oct. 16, 1911, she was married to Arch Keister. There are no children and no brothers or sisters surviving.

Mrs. Keister ws a 50-year member of the Rebekah lodge and a member of the Methodist church.
