ADA IVERSON SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for Ada F. Iverson, 68, who died early Thursday morning at Grinnell General Hospital, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ-Congregational with the Rev. Newell E. Davis officiating.

Organist was Norman Goodbrod, and flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hertzberg. Pallbearers were John Bennett, Merle D. Harris, Arthur Iverson, Lawrence Iverson, Don Pederson, and Warren Ryan.

Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Edwin and Sarah Minnie Warren Dare, she was born Sept 21, 1904, in Chester Township. She attended rural schools near her home and was graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1923. She taught rural school for four years. On June 27, 1928, she was married to Elmer S. Iverson at her home north of Grinnell. The couple had one son, Darrell J. Iverson of Palo Alto, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. Iverson farmed following their marriage, and had made their home for the past 45 years on the same farm northeast of Grinnell. Mrs. Iverson was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, serving the church as a deaconess and as a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was a charter member of the Sonora Grange, the Tuesday Club, the Grinnell General Hospital Auxiliary, and Beulah Chapter No. 47 of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Jane; two grandsons, Jon and Brent Iverson of Palo Alto, Calif.; three brothers, Arthur E. Dare of Sun City, Calif., George W. Dare of Washington, Iowa, and Harlan C. Dare of Grinnell; two sisters, Mrs. Lyman (Camilla K.) Evans of Fairfield and Mrs. Lester (Mildred) Hendrickson of Grinnell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sisters.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Mrs. Wayne Reams of Grinnell.
