MALCOM RITES FOR MARY ANN STEPHEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Stephen were conducted last Friday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Malcom in charge of the Rev. John Woods of Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Nellie Farley was organist.
Burial was in Ivy Hill cemetery in Malcom with the following grandchildren serving as pallbearers: Rene, Jerald, Robert and Roger Stephen and Keith and Harold Mithelman. In charge of flowers were Grace Middlemas and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Brewer.
Mrs. Mary Ann Reynolds Stephen was born in Glenmorganshire, Wales, near Cardiff, and died at her home in Cedar Rapids Oct. 28, 1958, at the age of 87 years. When six months old she came with her parents, William and Ann Reynolds, to the United States. She married Francis V. Stephen at Oskaloosa and ten children were born to the couple. They are: George of Malcom; Mrs. Verda Shook of Sioux City; Mrs. Mable Mithelman of Coggon; Raymond, Clarence, Francis, Paul, Orrin and Walter, all of Cedar Rapids, and Frederick, who preceded her in death. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
