FRANK H. LEE RITES CONDUCTED

Frank H. Lee, 61, of 503 Pearl St., Grinnell, died Monday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1909, the son of Frank and Nellie Hewitt Lee, at Rock Island, Ill. He attended schools in California, and in 1948 he came to Grinnell where he operated the Pioneer Inn for two years. Since 1952, he had been an employee of Maytag Company in Newton. He was an inspector in Plant 2 and had been a board member of the Newton Credit Union. He was also active in the Maytag Consolidated United Fund drive.

Mr. Lee was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Earl (Nellie) McFarland of Spring Valley, Calif.; two brothers, Leslie C. Berthusen of Avoca, Iowa, and Thomas J. Berthusen of Gilman; one half-brother, Harold Lee of Des Moines; and a niece, Darlene Strawser of San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and two half-brothers, Earl and Harley Lee.

Requiem Mass for Mr. Lee was said at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leo V. Kuebrich, pastor of St. Mary's officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Bennett, Bob Etter, Bob Ragan,, George Smith, Toby Smith and Harold Wickiff. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home.
