THOMAS D. ALDEN

Thomas Dexter Alden, 80, Garrison, N.Y., died of cancer Saturday, Aug. 17, at his home.

Services were held Monday in the Catholic church in Cold Spring, N.Y., with burial there.

A member of the United States State Department, he had served posts in Italy, Argentina and England and following retirement had resided in Spain.

He is survived by his wife *Mercedes, Garrison; two sons Thomas D., Washington, D.C., and Frederick, Paris, France; one daughter, Marisa Brenninkmeyer, Duluth, Minn., and one brother Henry Alden, Grinnell.
