RAYMOND H. REED

Raymond H. Reed, 81, of Grinnell, formerly of Kellogg, died Saturday, Feb. 11, at Friendship Manor.

There was no funeral service. Burial was in Chester Cemetery north of Grinnell, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of Frank and Gladys Forrester Reed and was born Feb. 2, 1914, in Grinnell. The family moved to Spring Valley, Minn., where he was raised and educated. He lived in Minneapolis and Milwaukee before returning to Grinnell in 1962.

Mr. Reed worked for the DeKalb Seed Corn Co. and later was a self-employed truck driver.

In 1974 he was married to Frances Callison Benson in Grinnell. They lived near Kellogg following their marriage.

Mr. Reed is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Dean, Robert, Lloyd and Harold; and four sisters, Frances Reed, Elnora Murk, Mary Reavis and Pauline Reed.
