SERVICES HELD FOR MR. KINNAN

Funeral services for E.P. Kinnan who passed away at the Community hospital Friday afternoon were held from the Smith funeral home Sunday afternoon with Rev. William Welsh in charge. Interment was at the Chester cemetery. Pall bearers were Sam Raffety, George Quivey, George Lincoln, Ed Bohstedt, N.J. Hartzell and Alfred Breiting.

Ellis P. Kinnan, son of James and Sarah Kinnan, was born April 12, 1858 near Union, Hardin Co., Iowa, and departed this life Nov. 4, 1932, being 74 years, six months and 23 days of age.

He was married March 8, 1903, at Fort Dodge, Iowa to Ella E. Price who preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1924.

Mr. Kinnan lived practically his whole life in this state. For a number of years he was sexton of the cemetery, janitor of the Stewart library and the Baptist church.

He became a Christian and a member of the Baptist church at Fort Dodge. He transferred his membership to the Baptist church of this city and was a deacon for many years.

He leaves to mourn the loss four brothers, Sam of Eagle Grove, Iowa; George of Montezuma, Ia.; Jonathan of Los Angeles, Cal. and John of Chicago, Ill. Also three sisters, Mary of Deadwood, S.D., Neola of Des Moines, Ia., and Myrtle of Portland, Oregon. Also a host of relatives and friends.
