HENRY RICKARD DIED MONDAY EVENING; FUNERAL FRIDAY

Henry Rickard suffered a stroke Monday morning and passed away in a local hospital that evening, aged 74 years. Born in Chester township, Mr. Rickard had lived his entire life in the Grinnell community and had always taken an active and progressive interest in the welfare of his home town.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Glad Tidings Assembly of God church, the former First Baptist church in charge of Rev. C.O. Whitely, assisted by Rev. Wm. Welsh. Burial will be in the Chester cemetery. Friends may call at the James funeral home.

Vocal music will be provided by Ed Bohstedt with Mrs. Verl Sammons as accompanist. Pallbearers will be Ferd Kiesel, Carl E. Child, Myron Sears, Clyde Foster, Alex Manson and Sam Birchard.
